Are you already programming in JavaScript and do you want to improve your knowledge and skills? Then this bootcamp is for you.
JavaScript is a single-threaded scripting language. This means that if a function takes some time to finish, that function may hold up the entire program, even the browser. This bootcamp addresses this issue and demonstrates various situations where this may become a problem. Of course, we also demonstrate the solutions using callback functions, the Promise object and the Observable.
The Bootcamp consists of:
- Two live training sessions guided by an expert.
- Extensive teaching materials:
- Livelab.
- E-learning modules.
- Practical assignments that can be carried out immediately.
- Sparring / chatting with fellow course participants.
- Guidance from teachers.
The next Bootcamp is scheduled on the following dates:
- Session 1: Wednesday 08-05-2024 from 17:00 to 20:00
- Session 2: Thursday 09-05-2024 from 17:00 to 20:00
Additional Information
We will be using the NodeJS environment to run all the examples and code in this bootcamp. However, for some of the examples you could use just an HTML file along with an editor or Notepad++.
The instructor will be using a Linux VM along with VS Code.
If you would like to follow the sessions via your phone or tablet, no problem! Unfortunately, the bootcamp via your phone or tablet cannot be accessed from the learning environment. On the starting day of the bootcamp you will receive a link before noon that you can use to follow the bootcamp via your phone or tablet. If you did not receive the link, please contact us by mail or phone.
What if you can't attend one of the Live Bootcamps? You are not required to have attended a live session in order to participate in the next one. Within three weeks after the last session, replay sessions of the Live Bootcamp will be made available. You can find these in the knowledge library of your online learning environment.
Result
After completing this bootcamp, you will be familiar with the problems that long-running processes create and how to solve them.

The lab enviromentconsist of complete networks containing for example, clients, servers,etc. This is the ultimate way to gain extensive hands-on experience.
